Gurusamarpanam 2010 is going to take place at The Music Acadamy, Chennai on Teachers’ Day, 5^th September 2010 at 6 pm. The event guests will be Dr. Mrs. Y. G. Parthasarathy (Dean & Director, PSBB Group of schools) and S. Balasubramanian (Managing Director & CEO, City Union Bank Ltd). Mr. T.S. Narayanaswamy, MD of Info Network Management Company is organizing this fifth edition of Gurusamarpanam event of Callezee. Guru Samarpanam will be conferring ParamAcharya and Acharya Awards to 12 distinguished ‘Gurus’ and leading lights of Chennai.

This time the ParamAcharya Award goes to legends in different fields – Professor M.S.Ananth (Education),Prof.Dr.S.Kalyanaraman (Medicine), Kalaimamani S.V.Ramanan (Media),Ms. Sivasankari (author), Natyaacharya V.P.Dhananjayan (Dance), Shanta Dhananjayan (Dance) and Padma Shri Haridwaramangalam Dr. A.K. Palanivel (Thavil).

The people who will be conferred the Acharyas awards are P.S.Raman (Legal), S.Sowmya (Music), Actress Radikaa Sarathkumar (Cinema & TV), Bombay Gnanam (Theatre), Chef  K.Damodaran (Culinary) and D.Jayaram (Sports). There will also be an unique fusion concert by ZINX from 6 pm to 6.45 pm. Kindly be in your seats by 5.45 p.m.

Last year many film personalities including M.S. Vishwanathan (music director, singer, actor) dancer Padma subramaniam, director vasanth, Dr. (Mrs.).Y.G. Rajalakshmi (PSBB principal). Mallika padmanaban and many others from different fields participated.

Last year Paramacharya award was presented to stalwarts including Shri. Kavignar Vaali, Shri. Madurai T.N.Sheshagopalan, Smt. Leela Samson, Smt. Manorama, Shri. V. Ramachandran, Shri. P.C. Ramakrishna and Dr. Kamala Selvaraj.

The Acharya award was presented to Shri. Rajiv Menon, Smt. Latha Mohan, Shri. V. Selvaganesh, Smt. Revathy Shanmugham, and Shri. ‘Vidwan’ T.M. Krishna.

The Former Attorney General of India, Padma Bhushan Dr. K.Parasaran directed the function, while Padma Vibhushan, Chevalier, Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna was the guest of honor.
