A prominent Carnatic classical vocalist, his captivating voice, clarity in diction, uncompromising adherence of tradition and unique style has evoked unqualified approbation of all listeners. A disciple of Sri.S.Rajam and Sri.P.S.Narayanaswamy, he is an A-grade All India Radio artist, he is an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Govt of India. He has performed in USA, UK, Germany, France, Holland, Austria, Singapore and Malaysia. He has been training students in India and abroad. He has conducted workshops, given lectures on music in different countries, contributed articles on music to various publications and conducted music appreciation programs.

He has been awarded with the titles Asthaana Vidwaan of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Kanchipuram ; Ganakala Shree of the Karnataka Ganakala Parishath, Naada Vallabha ; Gayana Gandharva ; Ganakala Visharada and Youth Excellence Award from Rotary Club of Madras. He has also received Best Vocalist Awards from Music Academy, Krishna Gana Sabha and Indian Fine Arts Society in successive years.
A Cost Accountant, Lawyer and Masters in Music by qualification, he has chosen music as his profession and is married to Indira Kadambi, a well known Bharatanatyam artiste with whom he has established Ambalam, Centre for Performing Arts in Chennai..

On a pleasant Sunday evening, several thousand people were witness to a heavy downpour of divine rhythm and mellifluous music. ‘Naadha Vaibhavam’ presented by The Art of Living and MARG Brindavan lived upto its name.
It was announced that a total of 5,700 artists were on stage.
It included 347 instrumentalists playing the mridangam, violin, ghatam, flute and veena. Among those on stage, nearly 3,000 were from Chennai and the rest from other parts of Tamil Nadu and also from Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and even Maharashtra, according to volunteers.
The evening began with prayer songs ‘Vinayaka Vishwadhara’ and ‘Jaya Jaya Durge Ma’ that were sung by volunteers and also by the audience. Compositions by eminent musicians in Sanksrit, Telugu and Tamil were rendered on stage. Each of the songs was led by senior artists such as T.K. Govinda Rao, P.S. Narayanaswami, Suguna Varadachari, G.S. Mani, Suguna Purushothaman, Allepey Venkatesan, O.S. Thyagarajan and Trichur Ramachandran.
The thani aavardhanam by mridangists Tiruchi Sankaran and K.V. Prasad received tremendous applause.
Come February 2011 and you can be part of Bryan Adams’ live rock concert. The Canadian-born singer-lyricist and Grammy winning rock star will begin his India tour from Pune on February 11. Around 30,000 music enthusiasts will attend ‘Bryan Adams Live’ at Amanora Park town, a first integrated township coming up at Hadapsar.
Other cities that the singer would visit are New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengalooru and Hyderabad. He will perform in Mumbai on February 12.
Unfortunately Chennai is not on his agenda and Chennaites will be missing the action
The singer has garnered top 10 hits worldwide, earned nominations for three academy awards and five Golden Globes. Some of his hit numbers include Summer Of 69, Run To You, 18 Till I Die and Everything I Do.

The Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI) to be held from September 21st to September 30th at NCPA Mumbai. It is the country’s first fully professional Orchestra formed by the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai on August 2006, offering series concerts in Mumbai over the course of two seasons each year, in September and February. The orchestra has also begun to tour nationally and to take music into communities in order to entertain new and young audiences around India.
The orchestra’s Indian players represent the finest local musical talent, and their presence in the SOI provides a solid foundation for the future of orchestral playing in India. The orchestra has launched a number of initiatives to build on this local talent, including the introduction of the Suzuki Method of instrumental teaching into schools in Mumbai.
The Gala will feature excerpts from Phantom of the Opera, SunsetBoulevard, Evita and a complete performance of the Requiem, and will be held on September 23 and September 24, at 7 pm at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre, NCPA.
