The 39 steps will be held at Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall on 29, 30, 31st October 2010 in Chennai. It has a grand partnership of Radaan Media Works, evam is proud to present its latest production The 39 Steps. This production of the play has been an international blockbuster, a successful run of over seven years at Broadway and West End. This year this production is going to hit the theatres of India and first in Chennai.
The main interesting thing in the play is 4 characters play 150 roles in one and a half hours, in absolute master piece of visual humor and comic timing. The script is full of allusions to Hitchcock films, including rear window and psycho.
Evam is the award winning theatre entrepreneurship in the business of live entertainment shows, workshops and cultural festivals. Evam done over 25 plays and four hundred shows in the last seven years won the YPAE (Young Performing Art Entrepreneur) award for India from the British Council last year and represented India at the YPAE ceremony in England.

TEDxChennai will be hosting a special TEDx Workshop on October 9th, one day prior to the main event, TEDx Chennai. The workshop will happen between 2 pm to 5pm at ICSR Hall, IIT Madras.
TEDx Workshop in Chennai will be the second such workshop that is organised in Asia for the TEDx organisers . The first workshop took place during TEDxGreatWall in China. The highlight of the workshop will be the talk by Ms.LaraStein, Licensing Director at TED.
Anyone who is interested in hosting a TEDx event of your own or interested in knowing what goes behind a TEDx event, are welcome to come and attend. The TEDx Workshop is a place to learn how to organize a TEDx event. You learn this from people who have successfully organized TEDx programs. It is also a chance for TEDx organizers from various TEDx events around India to get together, network and learn from each other.
Some of the topics to be covered include: “How to Create a Program lineup?”, “How to prepare your speakers and what Speakers need to know”, “How to raise sponsorship and add partners?” and “Post TEDx Exercises”.

A Media Workshop for School Children’s Organized by International Climate Champions will take place at British Council as a part of a Wildlife Week Celebration on 6th October 2010. Registration required for the participation. It has three categories that are Journalism, Radio, and Photography. Students from classes VI to VIII can participate in this event. People from International Climate Champions are going to train the students in this Media Workshop.
