Delhi celebrates Krishna Janmastami

   

Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the day that marks the birth of Lord Krishna, is widely celebrated all over India. Lots of sweets, drum beats, flute melodies, Meera bhajans and celebration dances define the day.

Janmashtami celebrations are on in Delhi from 1-5 September, at VVIP Park, Keshav Puram. The events include magic shows, dance performances, bhajan singing, stand-up comedies and concerts too!

Festival Schedule:

1st September: A magic show by the great magician Samrat Shankar.

2nd September: Matki Fod Kanha Ki Toli with myriad forms dances based on the story of Radha Krishna. On the same day at 7 pm, there will be a Bhajan sung by Singers Rajesh Sri, Gyan Pankaj, Suraj Diwaker and Nand Lal Sharm

3rd September:  People will laugh on the non stop comedies of laughter challengers V.I.P, Pratap Fauzdar, Surendra Sharma and Vinod Bajaj.

4th September: Dhamaka day for folk dance lovers in which there will be Haryanvi, Rajasthani, Gujrati, Lavni and of course Bollywood dances to mesmerize the audience.

5th September: There will be a mass marriage and rocking Singer Tarun Sagar, Punjabi pop singers Channi mastana and Baljit Deewana.

Sounds like a good place to be this weekend, doesn’t it? For fun, frolic and lots of Krishna!
